Gay will join Vice President Biden at the Association of Fraternal Leadership & Values (AFLV) Central 2018
WASHINGTON – Today, the Biden Foundation named Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback William Gay to its Advisory Council focused on ending violence against women. As an Advisory Council member, Gay joins a prominent group of leaders, experts and advocates who have been selected to serve as ambassadors for the Biden Foundation, guiding strategic partnerships to create societal change.
A longtime champion for victims of domestic violence, Gay will join Vice President Biden at the Association of Fraternal Leadership & Values (AFLV) Central 2018 on February 9, where they will both discuss their commitment to empowering men and women alike to stop campus sexual assault. The Biden Foundation is committed to bringing together diverse voices, including professional athletes, that can uniquely speak to groups like the Greek community to change the culture.
“Vice President Biden and I share the belief that, as a society, we can end violence against women,” said William Gay. “In order to do that, however, we have to start engaging in conversations where we hold each other – and ourselves – accountable. We hope to spur some of those discussions today, and keep them going as we work toward a safer tomorrow.”
